EV Transmission

In project HTAS a single speed and 2-speed transmission has been developed. The housing is partially still -although altered- a conventional gear box. Bell housing is significantly reduced in size. The system has 4 joints that can be mounted under a flat floor of the car. Its sizing and layout is focused on the future electric car: aerodynamic outlining and putting away the drive train in small spaces in the chassis floor. The drive system can also be used to make a car 4 wheel driven (single speed only). One system drives the front wheels and the other drives the rear wheels.

Some characteristics:

Single speed:

- Output torque    = 825 [Nm]

- Max speed          = 145 [km/hr] NB: tire size 165/65R14

- Weight               = 15 [kg] (only motor excluded)

- Shaft Interface    = flange 6 bolt 80mm or 90mm

2-speed:

- Output torque    = 1800 / 750 [Nm]

- Max speed          = 65 / 160 [km/hr] NB: tire size 165/65R14

- Weight               = 22 [kg] (only motor excluded)

- Shaft Interface    = flange 6 bolt 80mm or 90mm
