Realization of first DC power test facility
InnoSys Delft BV, Direct Current BV and The Hague University of Applied Sciences have commenced a long term partnership for researching, testing and establishing 350V/700V DC networks as a replacement for the current 230/400V AC networks. The growing amount of switching electronics -which can be found in computers, household equipment and last but not least electric vehicles- makes the need for DC supply growing as well. AC supply would mean just extra losses, power factor correction troubles and more cost. The project will investigate safe, modular and standardized implementation of DC networks.
